Aveda Shampure Haircare Review

Hello beauties!

I did a review of my favourite hair care products of the moment: AVEDA!
I bought these Aveda hair care products for the first time ever, just around Christmas, and I have been using their shampoo and a conditioner from the SHAMPURE line ever since!
Since I'm really pleased with the products and how they work on my hair, I thought a review is in order! :)

Aveda is now taking care of my hair :)
These products are pampering my hair, the shampoo and a conditioner from Shampure line.

Aveda has got a big selection of different products designed for every hair type/ hair problem, but since this was the first time I was trying out their products, I've decided to go for their "basic" line, the "Shampure", for frequent usage (suitable even for every day usage!).
Next time, I'll make sure to try out the "Damage Remedy" line that is supposed to be a very intense, nourishing care for coloured/dry/damaged hair.

The "Shampure" line is one of the less expensive lines from Aveda hair care.
250ml of the shampoo retails at 16,50€
250ml of the conditioner retails at 18,50€
Available at selected hair salons.
Aveda also offers styling products for any specific need, skin care, body care products and even make up!
My local hairdresser's salon is selling only the hair care/styling products, so I haven't had a chance to try out their make up or body care.

Aveda products are based on natural ingredients and Aveda claims to be eco-friendly company.

You can find out more about Aveda here!

This shampoo has got a clear texture, but once you apply it on your scalp it actually feels quite creamy, it lathers up well
and leaves your hair feeling clean and moisturized.
I really like it!
You only need a small amount of the product to make it work; I've been using this product for two months now, (I wash my hair twice a week, and my hair is very long), I still haven't used it up!
250ml will last you a long time!

The conditioner from Shampure line was very moisturizing and I liked it.
The only thing is that it's not the best thing for detangling your hair!
If your hair tends to be very tangly as mine does, you'll need to apply a good hair detangler afterwards, to help you out in combing it!

The scent of both of these product is very subtle, but amazing, when using them on my hair, it feels better than some pampering treatment in a hair salon!

Shampure line cleanses and conditiones hair with morikure protein from the Peruvian rainforest. Infused with aroma of 25 pure flower and plant essences.
Among other ingredients, it contains: Lavender extract, Aloe Leaf Juice, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Wheat Protein, Brazil Nut Protein, Wheat Amino Acids, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Avocado Oil...

You can find out more about the shampoo and a conditioner from the Shampure line, in my review video, here:

Besides "Shampure", Aveda offers other hair care lines:

- Invati
- Dry Remedy
- Damage Remedy
- Smooth Infusion
- Be Curly
- Color Conserve
- Pure Abundance
- Scalp Benefits
- Sun Care
- Rosemary Mint
- Colour Enhancing
- Brilliant Haircare
- Aveda Men Pure- Formance Haircare

My final verdict is that I'm very pleased with the products I've tried out from Aveda, and that I'll be relying on them for my hair care in the future as well! :)

Have you ever tried anything from Aveda?
If so, would you like to recommend a certain product to me?

Thank you so much for stopping by!
If you liked this review, please share it with your friends :)
Thanks for your support! ♥

Franck Provost Heat Protectant Review & a Quick Hair Tip!

Hello beauties!

...I'm a little bit behind with my blog posts, as this weekend I was super busy at work, and then yesterday, my granny fell at the supermarket (the floor was slippery because it has been raining), so we spent the entire afternoon and evening at the E.R.!
I'm happy to be able to tell you that she is completely fine, she just got bruises on her face and knees, but nothing is broken, so I was able to take her home with me yesterday! :)
Thank God!
I was so scared, I can't even describe you how shocked was I when I saw her on the floor!
I think I almost passed out myself!
She hit her head and was bleeding from her nose, so I wasn't calm until the doctors checked her head and her legs (she already walks with difficulties as it is!).
I was so, soo scared you guys! My granny is like a Mum to me, I love her so much and I couldn't stand the thought of something bad happening to her!
Now she's here with me and she's fine, just resting :)

So this was the main reason for me being a bit MIA from my regular posting!
On youtube, I already have a few new beauty reviews & vlogs up, but I haven't been able to follow my vids with a blog post, as I normally do!
So, let's get started now!
:)

Franck Provost Heat Protectant Review & a Quick Hair Tip!

You guys, I've been loving this heat protectant as it is a drugstore brand (I got it at my local "Acqua & Sapone" drugstore in Italy, but it is available in any italian supermarket basically!).
It is very convenient price wise (under 10€) and the spray itself will last you probably from 6 months to up till one year!
It won't weigh your hair down, make it greasy, or anything like that!
When sprayed on your hair, it feels as if you aren't wearing any product, that's how light- weight it is.
Yet, it will provide you with a good protection from the heat caused by blow dryer or other styling products that we use (almost) daily on our hair.

My little beauty tip!

Never style your hair (with heat) without a heat protectant!
My hair is really long and I tend to cut it as less as possible (once, or twice a year!).
My hair is colour treated (with blonde highlights).
After washing it, I always blow dry my hair.
My hair isn't naturally straight, so I like to use my ghd hair straightener, to acheive that perfect, straight, silky look!
Lately, I've also been curling my hair with a hair curling iron (usually on my 2nd, or 3rd day hair!).
That's a lot of heat and damaging to my hair!!!

I wouldn't be able to keep my hair in such a healthy, good condition, without a help of a heat protectant.

So my little tip is: Make sure to always use one, try to incorporate it into your haircare/ hairstyling routine!

Especially if you're trying to let your hair grow long, you'll see, it'll make such a big difference in the general state of your hair!

I'm currently using Franck Provost Heat Protectant Spray.

Tips for Healthy Hair: Moroccanoil Review & Linseed Oil Treatment

Hello my beauties!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I'm starting off this week with a blog post dedicated to hair care & of course, I also have a video on this topic prepared for you :)
So just click on the play button bellow to watch it!

How to get a long, shiny & healthy hair?
How to grow out your hair long, mantaining it healthy?

I really like & recommend these two products:

  • Moroccanoil
  • Linseed Oil

I got my Moroccanoil when I was participating at the COSMOPROF event in Blogona, Italy, two years ago, as a journalist and blogger, interviewing the important people from the beauty industry.
Among all the people/companies I interviewed, there was also a creative director of Moroccanoil company, who introduced me to the brand and shared with me little secrets & haircare related tips!

Me at the Cosmoprof beauty event (the italian IMATS!)

Interviewing the creative director of Moroccanoil company

I worked as a journalist for ProvideoService
Moroccanoil is a great product for healthy, smooth and striking shiny hair!
I use it as a finishing touch, when I'm done with blowdrying and straightening my hair.
I apply it on the tips of my hair and then comb in through.
It has this non-oily formula so it won't make your hair greasy and you can use it as a styling product without any fear.
Learn more about Moroccanoil, the prices & the products, HERE!
Celebrities such as Madonna and J. Lopez are loving this brand too! ;)

& now, let me tell you a little bit about the miraculous treatment that I do religiously every week, in order to mantain my hair healthy and just beautiful looking!
I'm talking about the Linseed Oil!
I'm using the 100% pure linseed oil from the italian brand "I Provenzali".
"I Provenzali" are eco-friendly brand, they do think about the environment, they recycle and don't test on animals!
Their products are very known in Italy and they're also easy to get: I usually buy my Linseed oil at my local supermarket!
The price of this product isn't  high, we're talking about cca 7 € for a 100ml of the product!
(This usually last me a few months!)
Yes, the good news is they do have a website & you can also buy their products on-line!
The link is HERE! CLICK HERE!
This product wasn't sent to me for free and I'm not in any way affiliated with the company!
It's just the product that I'm using since I moved here to Italy (we're talking about four years now!) and I've noticed it has a great results in my hair care!
You don't have to use the same brand as I use, just make sure that you get a 100% pure linseed oil, I'm sure a lot of companies produce it!
You can also check your local herbalist stores :)
However, I'm speaking very high of the "I Provenzali" brand because it stands for the things I have close to my heart myself (being eco- friendly, environment friendly, they also sostain WWF Italia's projects!)
How I use this product?
As a hair mask, as a pre-shampooing treatment.
I soak my hair into this oil, I apply it very generously on my hair, then massage my scalp and comb my hair to distribute the oil well.
I put my hair in a high bun and leave it like this for cca 30min. to even more than 1 hour (depending on how much time I have on my hands!)
Then I proceed with shampooing my hair & conditioning it, blowdrying it, styling it etc.

& here are the results! ;)

How do you take care of your hair?
Do you have any product to recommend me to try, something that you just love & can't live without?

Kiss from Italy xx
<3 Sonja

Ciao, ciao!
