Corduroy Fall & Winter Fashion Trend: How to Wear!

Hello girls!

Today's blog post & my new fashion video are about the CORDUROY fashion trend for Fall (Autumn) & Winter 2011./12.

What is corduroy?

Corduroy is a textile composed of twisted fibers that, when woven, lie parallel (similar to twill) to one another to form the cloth's distinct pattern, a "cord." Modern corduroy is most commonly composed of tufted cords, sometimes exhibiting a channel (bare to the base fabric) between the tufts. Corduroy is, in essence, a ridged form of velvet.

I already had in my wardrobe, several different clothing items made out of the corduroy, so I was very pleased when I realized it's back in trend!
I can wear my old clothes and be in the latest trend, without having to spend money buying new clothes!
I will probably just "refresh" the clothes by accessorizing them with my new accessories that I bought this season :)
I also have some corduroy material clothes back home in my old wardrobe in Croatia, so on my next trip home I'll have to remember to bring some of those clothes back to Italy with me :)
I do miss now my corduroy trench coat and cute corduroy hats!
I feel I just NEED to have them right now in my wardrobe in Italy, lol!
But still, here I do have my "vintage looking", military green pants from River Island, grey blazer type jacket by Diesel and my three quarter length brown pants from Vero Moda :)
These are definitely among my favourite fashion stores and the quality of the clothes confirms that!
I've had those pieces in my wardrobe for six years or more and they're still in the perfect condition and I can wear them now as if they were brand new! :)
If you'd like to see those items, definitely check out my video, where I'm showing you these pieces and talking more "in debth" about them:

Here I'm also presenting you my OOTD with my three quarter length corduroy pants from Vero Moda that I bought while I was still living & working in Croatia!

& here are a few pics of this look:

& You'll be IN STYLE ;)

Fashion Trends: CORAL MANIA & How to Style a High Waisted Shorts

Hello girls!

Yes, I'm still very much in love with the coral colour!

Here is my outfit of the other day, when my hubby & I went to visit our friends and we all had delicious pizzas together for dinner!
I've missed a good italian pizza while I was on my vacations in Croatia!
Before moving to Italy, I used to think we make a good pizza in Croatia, but now I have to admit: I was wrong!
My hubby has got a friend whose father owns a pizza place: After tasting his pizza, I realized I never want to eat pizza anywhere else but in his restaurant!
It's just beyond delicious!!!

Moving on to my outfit...
Here is another idea on how you can style your high-waisted shorts (even better if they're coral, lol!)
I bought these shorts during my summer vacations in Croatia; these are by TopShop.
I wear them often just because I like them so much, I want to enjoy wearing them as long as I still can!
(Here's hoping that September will be warm & sunny here in Italy!)

CORAL SHORTS (HIGH- WAISTED): TopShop

Ways to Wear a Waterfall Cardigan (& Waterfall Cardigan OOTD!)

I think a waterfall cardigan is such a great clothing item!
Especially in this period of time, when it's still chilly outside, so even though the days are getting sunnier, you still need that extra layer of clothing to keep you warm enough...

I bought it at H&M
Originally priced: 24.95 €
Sale price: 3.75 €

It is a very versatile clothing item & you can style it in a many different ways!

Here are just a few of my ideas, I hope you guys enjoy watching ;)
