Summer jewellery trends

Hello guys!

I'm here to bring you another post about summer trends, since you guys seem to like them so much!
This time, I'm going to talk about jewellery and accessories, as I feel those are very important part of your summer style.

Every style can be updated with the right kind of jewellery. You don't even need to buy new clothes to keep up with the season's trends, it's enough to get a few pieces of jewellery and accessories that will do the trick!

Now, you can opt for more timeless, classic pieces, or you can get a few cheaper, "trendy" items, whatever you prefer. I'd suggest to definitely invest in a piece or two that you can wear for years to come, and then, to spend an extra couple of remaining $$ from your budget, to those "trendy" pieces that are the must have of the season.

Jewellery is also a great idea for gifts giving, so if you have your special somebody's birthday coming up, or anniversary, it's one of the best options to explore.

Get name necklace is definitely one of the cool items that never go out of style. I've had mine for almost 10 years now, and it's always on trend, and I'm so happy that I received it as a gift from my Mum.

I want to share with you some of the pieces that I think you might like:

This is the style of the necklace that I have, only with my name written, obviously! You can choose from different fonts, and it can be in silver, gold, or rose gold!

I also have a heart necklace that I never take off! It was a gift from my grandparents when I was just a couple of years old! I absolutely love it, and it's sort of my good luck charm.

It's a heart necklace, but also a family tree, and it has the option of having your and your family members names engraved, so you always carry them close to your heart :-)

Did you know that monogram bracelets are also very popular? During the winter time, when we wear  long sleeves, it's harder to spot our bracelets, but in summer, bracelets are always a must. You can layer them, or just wear one dainty piece that will stand out!

I love this silver bracelet, and the fact that you can engrave your initials. I used to have a similar model, but with time the color wore off, so I no longer wear it. But I'd love to get it again, this time in sterling silver, or gold, so I know I'll have it forever!

I TRIED CHRISTINA AGUILERA (LIDL SUPERMARKET) HAIR STRAIGHTENING BRUSH! HERE'S MY REVIEW

Hello lovelies!

I recently purchased a new hair styling tool, and I wanted to share it with you.
I was attracted to Christina Aguilera's hair straightening brush that I found at my local Lidl supermarket for under € 15.
The price was convenient, and I needed something that would help me manage my hair in between straightening with my ghd (I usually straighten my hair with ghd hair straightener twice a week, after washing and blow drying my hair). But sometimes, I wake up with (sort of speaking), quite a weird situation on my head, so I need something to quickly help me fix that!

This brush has ceramic coating, ion function (which will make your hair smoother and silkier), LED display (variable temperature settings from 120° to 180°), and it promises straight hair with just a single brushstroke!

Indeed, it's quite effective, and you can see that in my review video where I filmed even my first impressions:

The negative thing about this brush is the fact that it takes quite a long time to heat up (I'm used to my ghd's that heat up in less than a minute, and this is definitely not the case with this brush).
To optimize time, I plug it in, set to desired temperature, then proceed with getting ready for the day (putting my make up on, getting dressed etc.), by the time I'm finished getting ready, the brush has heaten up and it's ready to use!

Another negative thing is the fact that it doesn't come with a thermo-protective pouch, so it's not easy to bring it along when travelling, and after using it, you need to wait until it cools down, in order to store it away.

Styling ideas:

Glossy & Sleek

Sleek and shiny hair in an instant

- lean your upper body forwards and slowly brush your hair from your neck to the tips in one stroke

- then upright your upper body again and carefully brush the top layer of hair to create a smooth finish

-to do so, follow the brush along the hair with your free hand and smooth it down

-the ionic hairbrush neutralises the static charge in the hair

Sleek & Lofty

A ponytail is a good look for any occasion

-brush through your hair thoroughly

-tease the hair on the top of your head and pull it all to the back of your head

-tie it up into a high ponytail using a hair tie

-wind a strand of hair around the hair tie and pin it in place so that the hair tie is no longer visible

(this is a trick that I actually do quite often!)

Sidewise & Low

An eye-catching side ponytail with a low side parting:

-brush through your hair thoroughly

-pull your hair over to the side you want the ponytail on

-tie the hair into a low ponytail on one side with a hair tie

-fix the roots in place with some styling cream for optimum hold

And remember, summer is ideal time to wear cute hair accessories! They'll draw the attention from the bad roots situation, and fix any bad hair day, making you instantly look trendy and put together, like you actually made an effort!

Best Beauty Products 2016. Skincare, Body, Perfume, Hair & Lips!

Today's post is about my favourite beauty products of 2016. In case you haven't seen my video yet, you can watch it here:

I separated my favourite products in two videos/ posts, so in my next one I'll be sharing with you my favourite make up of 2016.

COCONUT OIL PULLING FOR WHITE TEETH & HEALTHY GUMS (NUTRIENT WISE)

Hello beauties! Have you ever heard of coconut oil pulling? I just recently found out about it, even though, it's apparently an ancient tradition that has been used for centuries to whiten teeth and clean the bacteria and toxins from mouth, promoting healthy teeth and gums!
I'm a huge fan of natural oils and I'm using them religiously in my beauty routine (my favourite oils are line seed, argan, coconut, burdock, sapote, castor, jojoba, almond and rose oil), and I use them for my hair care, skin care and body care, so it wasn't difficult for me to addopt another way of using natural oils: as a part of my oral hygiene!

I always give a lot of importance to oral hygiene, I believe taking care of your teeth is so important.
Having that perfect smile and a set of white and healthy teeth makes you feel so much more confident, and makes you look so much more beautiful!

Especially during pregnancy it is advised to take extra care of your oral hygiene, because your gums can become weaker and teeth more prone to developing cavities and other dental problems.
Many products out there on the market contain harsh ingredients, but this coconut oil pulling is such a great, effective and natural method of protecting your teeth and gums.
I was delighted!

The brand which products I'm currently using for the Coconut oil pulling is Nutrient Wise and the coconut oil comes in little sachets that each contain 10 ml and are enough for one usage.

This product is designed particularly for the oil pulling as together with organic virgin coconut oil, contains peppermint oil, which leaves that pleasant fresh taste in your mouth.
Those are the only two ingredients this product contains, so as you can see, it's an all natural product!

Oil pulling- how it's done?

Oil pulling is actually very easy to do and it's something that can replace your mouth wash:

After brushing your teeth, cut sachet along dotted line and squeeze oil into mouth.

Then swirl it in your mouth for 5-15 minutes. Spit out immediately, rinse your mouth with warm water and smile! :-)

Coconut oil is the most indicated oil for pulling, as some other natural oils may actually stain your teeth, after a longer period of time.

You can use your regular coconut oil to do the pulling (the same you'd use for cooking), but I'm particularly fond of these little sachets as they also contain peppermint oil which gives you that fresh feeling, and also, they're handy to bring in your beauty case even on your trips!)

Grow Stronger Nails With OPI Nail Envy!

This post is for all my beauty product addicts! :)

I came across this awesome nail strengthener, by OPI, and as this one actually worked & showed amazing results, after a few weeks of testing it out, I knew I had to share it with you!

In the past, I have tried a lot of nail strengtheners, from low cost brands, to high end ones...(essence, deborah, mavala, alessandro...) nothing seemed to be working!

I even tried taking food supplements for my nails...sometimes this would helped a bit...but NOTHING showed such an amazing results, as the OPI ORIGINAL NAIL ENVY!

I bought this product in Muller beauty store in Croatia, as I couldn't find it at my local Sephora in Italy...

I heard so many good reviews about this product, from other beauty bloggers, so I really, really wanted to try out this product myself, as my nails were going through a bad period, and nothing seemed to be able to help them out in "recovering"...

When I found out the price of this nail strengthener was around 30€ (a bit more than 200kn, in croatian currency...)...my heart skipped a beat!

But as I really wanted to try this product out (I trusted all these positive reviews I've read about it!), I decided to take a chance and buy it anyway!

Luckily, it really paid off, because after just a few weeks of application, I started noticing visible results of improvement in the appearance, strength and length of my nails!

Here is how I tried to justify having spent 30€ on a bottle of a nail strengthener, to myself:

Instead of going to the nail salon to get my nails done, or put a gel coat on them, I "invested" the money in the OPI Nail Envy, and now I have beautiful, natural, long & strong nails! :)

This explanation does make sense, doesn't it? ;)

Now I could really recommend this nail strengthener to anybody who is struggling with weak nails that break easily.

I don't know the price of it in Italy, because I wasn't able to track it down, but, from one of my american subscribers, I found out this product is much cheaper in the USA!

In Ulta it retails at about 17$ (whereas the regular OPI color nail polishes are around 9$ each!).

As OPI is made in the USA, it does make sense that it costs less there...but I wasn't expecting the difference in price to be soo huge!

This summer, I was using OPI nail envy + OPI alpine snow and I really loved this look on my nails! :)

You can use the Nail Envy as a base coat, but also as a top coat, to make the colour of your regular nail polish last longer!

Here is what the instructions for application say:

"For maximum results, apply two coats of Original Nail Envy to each nail. Then, apply one coat every other day. After one week, use any OPI Polish Remover to remove all nail lacquer (if present) and Original Nail Envy. Begin application again. Original Nail Envy works best as a base coat in actual contact with the natural nail. It can also be used as a top coat over nail lacquer."

1.) To apply, begin at the center of the nail, approximately 1/32" from the cuticle. Let the bristles fan out for maximum coverage. With one smooth stroke, brush out to the free edge.

2.) Apply to each side of the initial brush stroke, overlapping slightly.

Ingredients:

ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, nitrocellulose, propyl acetate, tosylamide/formaldehyde resin, isopropyl alcohol, triphenyl phosphate, trimethyl pentanyl diisobutyrate, butyl alcohol, formaldehyde,stearalkonium bentonite, camphor, diacetone alcohol, ethyl tosylamide, benzophenone-1, citric acid, hydrolized wheat protein, dimethicone, calcium pantothenate, CI 60725 (violet 2), CI 77891 (Titanum Dioxide).

Benefit Fake Up Crease Control Hydrating Concealer Review & Demo!

Hi beauties!

I have a new favourite concealer for my under eye area!

I haven't been so excited about a beauty product in a while!

Ever since I discovered the Fake Up by Benefit, I've completely forgotten all about my old under eye concealer :)

Now, I'm using the Fake up concealer on a daily basis and I can honestly say it's the one and only concealer that works wonders for me!

Why do I love it so much?

- Because it's very hydrating, it contains vitamin E & apple seed extract.

- Because it's crease- control concealer!

You know how some concealers can be quite drying, hard to work with, and, even though they cover well, they accentuate every fine line that you might have???

Well, this Fake Up concealer is very blendable and it glides smoothly onto your skin. It really diffuses fine lines, and it gives a very beautiful, natural look.

It won't crease at all, and you can even re-apply it throughout the day, if you feel like touching up your make up, because you can easily build it up without creating patchiness or cakey effect!

It won't give you the same coverage as some other heavy-duty concealers will (such as the Erase Paste, or boi-ing concealers...), but you can actually use it over any other concealer to diffuse fine lines & hydrate under eye area!

The concealer is packed in this luxurious stick- container, and it reminds me of one of those hydrating lipstick...

It's actually divided into a two parts: One is light-diffusing, skin-smoothing concealer, and the other one is hydrator that contains vitamin E and apple seed extract.

These two parts are blended together upon each application.

You can also use this concealer anywhere on your face, where you need to smooth the skin, cover up any fine lines; you just need to dot the product onto your skin & blend with your fingers!

I use it in a shade #01 light, which works best on my fair skin. It also acts as a highlighter, and this is one of the reasons why I absolutely love this product!

Because it is so illuminating, it should also hide away any dark circles (however I can't vouch for that one, because luckily I don't have problems with dark circles!) 

Even though this concealer is very illuminating, I don't know how well it would cover up very pronounced dark cirles!

To use:

Stroke Fake Up underneath each eye. Using your ring finger, pat gently outward to blend. And yes, it's that simple! :)

I would recommend this concealer for anybody who is on a lookout for a super hydrating under eye concealer, that will smooth away fine lines, hydrate your delicate under eye area & illuminate your eyes! :)

I really love it! I have found a product that I'll keep repurhasing in the future, because I know I don't want to be left without it! I need this in my make up bag :)

Plus, because it's packed in such a handy container, it's easy to just throw it into your make up bag & to use it even when you're on the go, or on travellings!
