Product Of The Month: Clinique Beauty Sleeping Mask

Hello beauties!
In this post, I'd like to talk to you about the product I've been loving this month and it's not a recent purchase, but I found myself using it most often in this period of time.
I'm talking about Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask.

It's one of those popular beauty sleeping masks, that you leave on your face overnight, whilst they do their own little miracle on your face.
When I first purchased this mask (at my local Sephora), I used it once or twice a week (mostly when I felt my skin needed some extra love).
In this period of time, I've been reaching for it much more often. I'm using it as a part of my regular night time skincare routine, every night, before going to sleep, instead of my night time cream.
My skin is quite dry in this period of time (as we're heading towards winter, plus, I'm still breastfeeding, which can also dry out the skin), and I feel that this overnight beauty treatment is just what my skin needs.
It's very moisturizing but non greasy, so it's suitable for all skin types, and if your skin is extra dry (such as mine), you can even use it every night! It absorbs really quickly and it leaves my skin soft and plump. I can feel it's very gentle product for my skin and overall my skin loves it! Lately, I've been adding a few drops of vitamin E to this mask, to make this nourishing treatment even more intense and anti-aging.

I can add that, I generally am a fan of Clinique products, especially the moisture surge line, agrees with my skin's needs. This product is allergy tested and 100% fragrance free, so it's recommended even for sensitive skin types.
I really recommend you to try out this product!
Let me know have you already tried this beauty sleeping mask by Clinique, or any other similar product from different brand?
I also love the Shiseido and Yves Rocher overnight beauty treatments, so if you like, I can talk to you about these products next!

xoxo, from Italy,

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 & Cicaplast Levres

Today's post is skincare related and it also relates to a review video that I just recently posted on my youtube beauty channel.

In my review, I talked about my must- have products by the french brand La Roche Posay: Cicaplast Baume B5 and Cicaplast Levres.

Cicaplast line is created for sensitive, irritated skin, and it contains thermal water of La Roche Posay.
All the products are dermatologically tested and are paraben and fragrance free.

In Italy and Croatia (speaking from experience), La Roche Posay products are easily available in pretty much any pharmacy.

Cicaplast Baume B5 is soothing, repairing balm and it really is a multi-purpose cream. You can use it if you have irritated skin, dry areas, or breakouts, acne scarring, sunburn...

I like to use it occasionally, after my at home treatments with PMD (personal microderm).

Cicaplast Baume B5 contains Panthenol 5%, Zinc and antibacterial agents, which makes it appropriate even for acne prone skin.

It's suitable for adults and kids.

Cicaplast Levres is repairing lip balm that contains panthenol 5% and MP- Lipides. It forms a protective, soothing & hydrating barrier on your lips which makes it a perfect product to use in harsh weather conditions.
It'll protect your lips from the wind and the cold. You can also use it as an overnight treatment to wake up in the morning with beautiful, plumped and soft lips!

For more details on these two products, please check out my video review (CLICK HERE TO WATCH!)

Do you like La Roche Posay products?
Which one is your favourite skincare product that you always must have in your bathroom cabinet?

I hope this review was helpful! ♥

Empties #7: Products I've Used Up & Mini Reviews!

Hello lovelies!

Recently I filmed another "Empties" video, this one is already #7! And, I already have another carrier bag packed full with other empty containers that I haven't shared with you yet!

I hope this video will be fun to watch!
I'm showing you 15 products that I've recently used up, and I'm hoping it'll also be helpful, as I'm giving you my reviews on the products, telling you whether I'd repurchase a certain empty product or not, and why!

Here are my newest "empties":

As you can tell, I have used up some make up items as well, so yeay for that, as we all know how difficult it is to actually use up a make up item! Especially when you have an entire collection, lol!

You can watch my new "Empties" video here:

(just press the "play" button on the immage above, to watch the video!)

Thanks for stopping by!

BIG Avon Haul! :)

Do you girls like Avon?

I personally do, I have been an Avon rep. for ... I'd say 10 years now... (!!)
Nowadays, I sell it only to my Mum & to myself, lol, as I'm still Avon representative in Croatia, but I'm not there very often, so I don't have time or occasion to search for a clients & then, to keep the customers satisfied... ;D
I used to sell it to other people every now & then, whenever an occasion would arrise, but due to my constant travellings, I was never able to be consistent at that and expand (or even mantain) my clientele.

So now I just focus on indulging myself & my Mum into some serious Avon goodies hauling :)

I usually order it on-line & then, when I go to visit my family in Croatia, there is already a package waiting for me!

In the past, I have dedicated a few vids of mine to Avon reviews & hauls, and this here is my most recent one:

Loving my Avon goodies ;)
Here are the products that I got recently:

Solutions Vibes Power Cleanser
I really like this little "device"!
It leaves my skin feeling clean & refreshed.

In the past month or so, I've been fighting blemishes with
Clearskin professional line.
This line won't give you an instant results, you have to be very consistent & use
these products religiously.
After one month you'll slowly (but surely) start noticing the improvements!

Anew Rejuvenate line
I'm not 30 just yet, but I wanted to try this line as it's still
formulated for young skin & the active ingredients in this line should help
in fighting the first visible signs of ageing.
Nothing too strong though, as I've said, this line is created for younger skin, not for
the mature one.
I actually liked all these products pretty much!
Especially the eye cream& the  face serum!

Avon Make Up:
- In the past, some of Avon's eyeshadows have let me down :(
However this is not the case with Avon's 8 in 1 eye palettes!
I already have two of them & now I purchased this third one
(I couldn't resist, the colours were soo pretty!)
This one is in "Tempting tones"
- I do LOVE the lip glosses by Avon!
My recent purchase is Glazewear Shine in "Tickled Pink"
- Avon Super Shock gel eyeliner/eye-liner gel in black has become
 my absolute must-have!!!
Something I can't stop recommending ;)

Skin so Soft line: Mineral Gems Glamorous Gold
Currently I'm using this sparkly golden oil as my
body moisturizer :)

Foot Works
I love to do my pedicure at home & this Pomegranate Chocolate
Soothing Foot Soak is a-m-a-z-i-n-g
I also have the Pomegranate Chocolate Moisturising Foot Cream
that I apply on my feet after the pedicure.

Other Avon goodies:
I'm looking forward to trying out the "Solutions Body Instant Tone" body
tightening spray! Will it work? ahem... (!!)
Also, Moisturizing Mist Hair Spray with macadamia & aloe sounds promissing :)
I have a few products from ANew Clinical line, such as Derma- Full Lip Volumiser
& a sample size of Clinical Thermafirm Face Lifting Cream.

I hope you girls enjoyed my haul/ quick review!
If you're interested to know more info on any of these products in particular, don't hesitate to request it & I'll be glad to do another Avon video and/or blog post.

& ... Don't forget to tell me all about your Avon Must-Haves!

xoxo,
Sonja

Review: Sisley Paris Express Flower Gel& Eye Contour Mask

Hello my darlings!

As I've mentioned in my "Current Favourites" blog post& youtube video, lately I've been loving the Sisley Paris products.
In particular, I'm obsessed with Sisley Paris Express Flower Gel and Sisley Paris Eye Contour Mask.
I've heard some very positive reviews on these products so I've decided to try them out.
At my local Douglas store, I asked for a couple of samples of these particular products (because I wasn't going to make a purchase before actually having a chance to test them out on my skin to see how do they work, what effect will they have!)
Sisley Paris is an expensive brand, the products are all high end priced& therefor, I'd advise you to do the same- ask for samples- if you were planning to purchase a product from this brand.
I was personally VERY pleased with the effect these products had on my face, it felt as if I had found my miracle creams, so I've decided they're worth the price.

Here are my new favourites in skin care:

Sisley Paris Express Flower Gel
Sisley paris Eye Contour Mask
These are both masks that will give to your face much needed hydration, but the good thing is that you don't actually need to rinse them off.
You can just leave these products on your face for the entire day, apply your usual make up on top, the masks will continue with giving your skin the hydration, leaving it velvety and toned.

Sisley Paris Express Flower Gel
At Douglas it retails at: 90.00 €
(- 10% off, because all the Sisley products are sold with 10% discount,
that is applied at the cash register)
Express Flower Gel
hydrating, toning and firming mask

This mask contains a high concentration of hydrating ingredients:
- extracts of Lily and Iris, with powerful water- retaining capacity.
- extracts of Sesame, rich in Vitamin F obtained from organically grown plants. It is highly effective in the prevention of water loss.

In three minutes, skin is smoother, softer and velvety. It feels hydrated, toned, revitalized and firmer.

Traces of fatigue and stress are smoothed away for a brighter, glowing, radiant appearance.
This mask is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

Advices on how to use this product:
Two or three times a week, apply on face and throat, including the eye area.
After three minutes, carefully tissue off the excess.
Don't rinse because the plant extracts will continue their actively beneficial effects.

How I use this product?
Normally, I'll use this product three times a week (on the days when I'm working late hours).

Sisley Paris Eye Contour Mask
At Douglas this product retails at: 88.50 €
(minus 10% off)

Eye Contour Mask
reduces fine lines and puffiness

The eye area immediately reflects our fatigue, and very quickly shows the first visible signs of skin ageing.
Thanks to a unique combination of botanical ingredients (Extracts of Ginkgo Biloba, Arnica, Horse Chestnut, Mallow and Linden), vitamins (Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E Acetate) and trace elements (Malachite and Chlorella Extracts), this Eye Contour Mask from Sisley worksin just a few minutes to help rehydrate skin and smooth away visible signs of fatigue:
-Fine lines around the eyes appear visibly reduced, the eye area and eyelids are smoothed.
- Undereye puffiness and dark circles are visibly reduced in appearance.
- The natural defense system of this delicate area is strengthened (Vitamin E Acetate).

The eyes look better rested, the eyelids and skin around the eyes smoother- the youthful appearance of this delicate area is preserved.
The original "gel patch" texture leaves an ultra- soft, imperceptible film which continues to work after the mask is removed.

Advices on how to use this product:
Apply the mask in a thick layer to eyelids and skin around eyes and leave on for 10 minutes; then tissue off excess product without rinsing.
May also be used around lips.
Morning or night on bare skin.
Suitable for sensitive eyes.

How do I use this product?
I use it on the days when I'm using the Express Flower Gel ( basically two, three times a week).
I use this product only at day time, because I can actually see& enjoy the results/benefits of it.

There are some other products that are on my wish-list when talking about Sisley...
Thanks to the kind& lovely sales-assistant at Douglas store, I got a chance to try out loads of Sisley samples :)

Samples of Sisley Paris skin care& body care
products.
Products that I'd like to buy in the future:
  1.  Creamy Mask With Tropical Resins (Deeply purifying combination/oily skin)
  2.  Hydra- Flash Formule Intensive (Beta-hydroxyacid essential oils natural plant extract)
  3.  Ecological Compound day and night all skin types

The first one is on the top of my wish list, the mask that does miracles when it comes to a skin that is on a verge to breakout, or more oily than usual.
It really prevents the blemishes from happening and it calms the existing ones!!!
The second one is a really good moisturizer, especially in a cold winter months.
Dryness or fine lines doesn't stand a chance with this moisturizer!
The third one is a light fluid, ideal for a combination/oily skin, especially in spring& summer months, also ideal as a daily moisturizer and a base for make up.

I hope you found helpful this review.
Remember, every skin has got its own needs, so before deciding to purchase a product, ask at your local beauty store for samples!!!
It's the only way to make sure that a product that you're about to purchase actually works for you!

As always, there is a video/review that you can check out by clicking on the link bellow:
I'm hoping to see you soon with another review on Sisley products ;)
Oh well, I'll do that when my budget allows...

Stay beautiful,
xoxo

REVIEW: Clinique Moisture Surge Line

A few months ago, I bought this travel size kit by Clinique, and I often do buy a travel size products that usually come in a kit, by Clinique. I think this is a great way to test out a product& kind of get introduced into a certain line of the product, without spending too much money for a full size confections, that you might end up not even liking, in case you've never tested them out before!

I have to say, so far the Moisture Surge line is my favourite line of Clinique products!
It just meets all my skin needs: It is hydrating, yet very light. It gives the perfect balance between the normal (sometimes even a bit dry, in the winter time) and very oily areas on my face.
It provides a much needed hydration to the dry areas, without making the oily parts even more oily!
It's even a perfect make-up base!

Moisture Surge line by Clinique.
I bought it at my local Douglas store.
I paid less than 12.00 € (I believe it was around 10.00 €)
In the kit, you'll get:
Clinique rinse-off foaming cleanser
Clinique moisture surge face spray thirsty skin relief
Clinique moisture surge extended thirst relief gel- creme

  • Clinique rinse- off foaming cleanser (mousse hydro- demaquillante):
This product comes in a 30 ml confection inside of the travel kit.
So we're talking about a good amount of product that will last you even for a few months& you'll definitely be able to notice whether it's working well for your skin type or not.
I use this almost every evening, when I wash my face after taking off my make up.
It's a very gentle product but really effective in cleansing your face.
It always leaves my face feeling fresh& clean, it removes every single trace of make up.
A very good product, overall!

  • Clinique moisture surge face spray thirsty skin relief (spray visage desalterant peaux deshydratees)
My favourite product from this travel kit& moisture surge line!
This comes in a 30 ml bottle.
I use this product even when I have a full face of make up, during the day, whenever I feel the need.
I also love to use it at night, just after cleansing my face, I spritz the thirst relief all over my face& sometimes I won't even need to apply a moisturizer afterwards.
Leaves my skin feeling wonderful& hydrated!
This is a product that I will definitely buy in a full size.
Excellent product, I highly recommend it!

  • Clinique moisture surge extended thirst relief (gel-creme desalterant intense peaux deshydratees)
This gel- cream comes in a 15 ml container, however it'll last you quite a bit as it's very moisturizing& you don't need to apply it too much.
It's a very light consistency, gel- cream, suitable even for oily skin.
We all know that all skin types need hydration and this is exactly what this cream does: It provides much needed hydration to our skin, without leaving it oily, greasy or clogging pores.
I can trust to use this cream even when I have problems with breakouts, this will just delicately hydrate my skin, without irritating the existing breakouts.
I use it both at night and in the morning, as I find it's an excellent make up base.
Thumbs up for this product, it definitely works well on my skin!

I also wanted to mention that my skin is oily/combination.
Sometimes I'll have breakouts& blemishes.
I did try other Clinique skin care lines, even specific for my skin type& fighting blemishes, but I found out that moisture surge line is what my skin likes the best!

I'm happy to be able to share this positive review with you :)

A very happy face with Clinique moisture surge line
:)

Definitely, the products worth repurchasing!
Don't forget to watch my video/review, where I share with you, in details, my experience with Clinique moisture surge line:

Stay beautiful,

xoxo Sonja
