Healthy Diet: Roasted Fennel With Parmesan Recipe

Hello girls!

The other day, I had fun in my kitchen, preparing this healthy & delicious meal, and I wanted to share this recipe with you, so I filmed a cooking video; I hope you'll like it & try out this recipe yourselves!

Today we're cooking...

fennels!

To prepare this delicious meal at home, you'll need:

- Fennels
- Asiago cheese (or other cheese of your preference)
- Dry bread
- Parmesan cheese
- Olive oil
- Salt

You'll need 3- 4 big fennels.
Slice them up (not too small, not too big chunks)

Put them in a pot (add salt, water & olive oil) to boil for cca 15 min on medium heat.

In the meanwhile, prepare cheese (cut it in a small cubes).
I like Asiago cheese the best for this dish.

Now the fennels are going to go in the oven!
(Butter the pan first so they won't get attached, or burn in the oven)
Place them in another pan, add cubes of Asiago cheese, and grate dried bread on top.
Then grate parmesan cheese on top as well.

Add olive oil on top of everything.

Pre- heat the oven to 200°...

The dish is now ready to go in the oven.
Bake it for cca 10 min on 200°, then add the ventilation for extra 5 min. for a crispy crust on top!

YUM!
It's ready!
Delicious & healthy :)
Buon Appetito!

I hope this inspired you & encouraged you to eat more vegetables & lead a healthy lifestyle!

Grocery Shopping: January (Almost) Cleanse

Hello lovelies!

I know you like my grocery shopping (haul) videos, so I put together another one for you!
This was my weekly grocery shopping from a few weeks ago, right after I returned from Croatia, after the holiday season.

This grocery shopping was supposed to be all about restoring the balance in my daily diet, after the "sinful" holiday season!

In my kitchen... :)

I bought a lot of vegetables & fruits and I think I really did good! I tried to avoid sweets for as much as I could, but I couldn't resist to frittelle, delicious italian pastry, in the Veneto region they're considered carnival sweets, italian carnival doughnuts. :)
In our region, frittelle are available only during the carnival season, (mid january/february), so I can't miss out on them, they're too delicious!

My favourites are the ones with zabaione cream...oh, don't make me think about them now, because my mouth is already watering, lol!

Check out my grocery shopping haul video & see how delicious frittelle look like (I ate them before I managed to snap a picture for my blog, lol!):

Thanks for watching, I hope this was inspiring :)

Kisss from Italy,

xoxo, S.

In My Kitchen: Risotto With Sciopetti Receipe

Hi Girls!

This is my very first receipe/ cooking video!
Today I'm taking you to my kitchen, where I'll be showing you how to easily prepare one of my favourite meals:
Risotto With Sciopetti!

My in laws were in the italian hills and from there they brought us these yummy herbs/ plants, called "sciopetti".
Here is how they look like:

Have you ever seen sciopetti before?
Does this herb grow where you live?

I've decided to make a yummy risotto with the sciopetti, and, in the spur of the moment, I filmed a culinary tutorial ;)

Judging by the number of positive comments that I got, in the future I'll be making more of these types of videos!
I'm really happy with your feedback :)
I, by no means, am not a culinary expert, but I do enjoy preparing some of my favourite dishes, so I'll be glad to share those receipes with you!
It won't be anything too complicated, I promise ;)

This is how my risotto turned out:

My hubby, and my granny, who were joining me for a dinner, approved! ;)
It's a light, but delicious meal, great for dinner time and suitable for vegetarians as well!
If you want to learn how to make this meal, watch my culinary step-by-step, video tutorial, here:

& stay tuned until the very end, for some crazyyy funny bloopers!
I still laugh every time I watch them :D

Kisss from Italy & thanx for stopping by!
Please follow my blog, it means a lot :)
xoxo Sonja
