WE VISITED THE MAGICAL CHRISTMAS ADVENT IN OPATIJA ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽ„

Hello lovelies!

I´m back with another post! I´ve been doing Vlogmas (daily vlog series) on my YouTube channel, throughout the whole of December, until Christmas, and I want to thank everyone who joined and supported my work๐ŸŒŸ

With this post I´m hoping to transmit a bit of the magical atmosphere of the holidays, from my beautiful town, Opatija.

Before Christmas, we took a little walk in Opatija (it was very cold that day, because the cold wind "Bura" was blowing, but luckily it was sunny so the walk was actually really pleasant).

When you visit Opatija around Christmas and New Year, you really get immersed in that magical atmosphere of christmas lights and decorations.๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŒŸ

I also filmed a little vlog from that day, and the next day, when we visited the centre of Rijeka.

You can click here to watch it๐ŸŒŸ

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that you spent it with your loved ones! We went to Italy for a couple of days, and we spent lovely time with my in-laws.

I´m back in Croatia now and will be here for the New Year´s Eve! I don´t have any plans other than to snuggle up by a fireplace, cook delicious food and enjoy spending time with my beautiful family.

I might still do one post before the arrival of 2025., but in case I don´t, I want to wish you guys all the best๐ŸŒŸ You are the best!❤️๐Ÿฅฐ

Exploring Croatia: We visited Ivana´s House of Fairy Tales in Ogulin๐ŸŒŸ

 Hello lovelies!

How´s everyone doing?

I´m back with a new post! It´s been quite some time since my last post, I know, but I´m really happy to be posting again๐Ÿ˜Š

I want to tell you all about our recent family trip to Ogulin, a town in north- western Croatia, situated in Karlovac County. The reason for our trip was visit to Ivana´s House of Fairy Tales, a unique multimedia and interactive visitor´s centre which celebrates fairy tales and their makers.

"Based on the principles of knowledge, creativity and the use of new technologies, the centre presents the fairy tales of Ivana Brliฤ‡-Maลพuraniฤ‡ (born in Ogulin in 1874), Croatia's foremost writer of fairy tales, as well as the fairy tales of many other writers from both Croatia and the world.

Located within the mediaeval Frankopan Castle, Ivana's House of Fairy Tales consists of a permanent multimedia exhibition, a library, a multifunctional space for workshops, and a souvenir shop.

"

It was a really fun experience and I definitely would recommend visiting Ivana´s House of Fairy Tales, especially to families with kids, but not only!
We bought two books in the little souvenir shop,  "Cudnovate Zgode Segrta Hlapica", kids tale for my son (I read this book when I was his age), and Ivana´s personal diaries (which I thought would be something interesting to read for my Mum and myself!)

Afterwards we grabbed something to eat at a local fast food "Strauss" (it was recommended to us by locals). They have delicious hamburgers, french fries, grilled vegetables, and "cevapcici".

My hubby recommends you try "Balkan burger", and I really liked my grilled vegetables with mushrooms.

By the end of the day, just before returning home, we visited nearby lake "Sabljaci". It was really nice to just sit by the lake, play cards and enjoy the scenery!

I filmed a short instagram vlog that you can watch here, and longer version of this vlog will soon be uploaded on my youtube channel ๐Ÿ’‹

I hope you get a chance to visit Ogulin someday and enjoy all these fun activities that we did!

Let me know if you already visited Ivana´s House of Fairy Tales, or lake Sabljaci, and how did you like it?

I´ll talk to you soon!

One relaxing Sunday afternoon at the town Bakar

Hello lovelies!

As promised, I'll try to update my blog more often :-)

This time I want to share just a couple of photos taken one Sunday afternoon at the town Bakar, in Croatia.

It's going to be like a little photo diary, and I'll try to post this type of content more often.

So, the story behind these photos is: It was a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon spent in a company of my family. We went with my Mum to a nearby little town called Bakar, to spend some quality time together, take a walk by the sea and eat some good food at a local dining place that we've been visiting for years now, as the seafood is really delicious there :-)

As the day of my birthday I spent visiting the island of Brijuni with my hubby and my son and some friends, the next weekend was the time to celebrate with my Mum, and just enjoy each other's company and little joys of life.

For the occasion I wore:

Shirt: Abercrombie & Fitch

Jeans: Zara

Belt: Vintage

Sunglasses: Zara

Bag: Mango

Sandals: dr. Martens

(fun fact: EVERYTHING is second hand- except for the sunnies, but they're quite old too!)

I vlogged about this day here:

And here is a review video of my new dr. Marten's sandals (in case you were wondering about the fit and the sizing and all that jazz...):

I filmed vlog in Croatian language and the review in english and I'm trying to also film in italian (mostly reviews of Italian beauty and make up products), so everyone can enjoy watching my videos :-)

I'll talk to you soon!
