Italian Beauty: L'Or de RougJ Make Up Haul & Review

Today I have an exciting make up haul to share with you!

Have you ever heard about RougJ brand?

I once used their tanning accelerator, it was a cream that actually helped accelerate the tanning process for up to 40%.

It didn't contain any sunscreens, so it was more of a body moisturiser that you're supposed to apply after showering.

I can't remember if I got any darker that summer thanx to this cream, because it was such a long time ago! :D

I might just try it again this summer and review it properly! :)

Anyway, recently, I came accross their make up line, 

L'or de RougJ, in my local pharmacy.

They had this amazing promotion, all of the make up from L'or de Rougj was discounted to only 1.99€ per piece (regardless whether it was a lipgloss, concealer, or an eyeshadow...)and the regular prices are actually close to the prices of a high-end cosmetics!

As I found the price (and the products!!) so appealing, I bought quite a few things!

I haven't bought a foundation (because they had, to be honest, a poor colour selection, and none of them was even similar to my skin tone!), and a mascara (only because I already have so many mascaras in my collection that I need to go through, that I felt it would be a crime to buy another one!lol)

Let me show you some pics...

Starting off with the lipsticks...

I have chosen three lipsticks, out of the six that they have in their offer.

Lipsticks are very moisturizing, and plumping, volumizing, as they contain hyaluronic acid.

The colour pay off is amazing, as the lipsticks are very pigmented. They act as a lip balm, as they nourish your lips, and they also have anti-ageing effect.

These here are the 3 shades that I picked up:

Moving on to other goodies... I bought a lipgloss!

Of course I bought a lipgloss, being such a huge lipgloss addict, I couldn't pass on buying another one for my collection!

If my memory serves me well...:) , they only have one lipgloss available in their offer: the clear/ transparent one.

As I'm using it on top of other lipsticks, mine has gotten a bit dirty/coloured/not so clear anymore! :)

This is a really nice lipgloss, moisturizing and again, plumping, as it contains hyaluronic acid.

This lipgloss isn't extremely long lasting, you'll have to reapply it every now and then, in a course of a day, but it isn't sticky, it feels really pleasant on your lips!

And what is exactly HYALURONIC ACID?

Hyaluronic acid is present in every tissue of the body, and it performs many important functions. It helps deliver nutrients to and carry toxins from cells that do not have a blood supply, such as those found in cartilage; without adequate amounts of HA, the joints will become brittle and deteriorate. Not only does it keep joints lubricated, but hyaluronic acid also encourages water retention in other bodily tissues. It is found in large concentrations in the extracellular matrix (ECM), which is the fluid-filled space between cells. HA locks moisture into the ECM, keeping collagen and elastin moist and promoting a youthful appearance. 

Hyaluronic acid is gaining popularity in the cosmetic and medical industries. Cosmetic products containing hyaluronic acid claim to hydrate the skin, allowing it to appear smoother and more radiant. Clinical studies have shown that it also helps wounds heal more quickly, and can reduce the appearance of both old and new scars. Injectible hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Restylane, are being to lessen the appearance of lines, sagging and depressions in the skin caused by acne scars or injury. 

I also got a concealer, as I was in a need of one, this promotion came just in the right time!

I've chosen the green/beige combo concealer:

As you can see from the pic, my concealer is nearly gone!

I'm using it on a daily basis!

The green side works for covering up all the redness and the beige colour is great for covering up blemishes or other smaller imperfections!

I usually mix two of the colours together, to even out my skin tone. 

However I wouldn't really repurchase this product, because I find that the green part of the concealer is bigger than the beige part, and I don't really need that much of a green one!

I felt like I'm stuck with the green side, that is one of the reasons why I started mixing the two sides together before applying the product on my face, and accidentaly I found out this combo works out really well for me! :)

Last, but not least, the eyeshadows!

In their offer, L'Or de RougJ had three of these duo eyeshadows; I went for the following two:

The green colour complements my hazel eyes, and the champaigne colour is a great all-over the eyelid
colour & a perfect highlighter!

This duo is a perfect "go- to" product, for my every-day eye make up!

The eyeshadows are really nice quality, pigmented and with an awesome colour pay off.

I like how the duo compacts come together with a little handy mirror! The containers are well made and posh looking!

This was my review of the L'or de RougJ products that I bought, I'm very pleased with most of them and would recommend and repurchase them!
