Outer Space Nail Art Tutorial

Hello girls!

I haven't done a nail art tutorial in a while...but as my nails are doing really great in this period of time, I thought I might just show them off in a new nail art tutorial! hihi ;)

This was my inspiration:

The magic of the Great Space...

To see how you can easily get this look, watch my step-by-step nail art video tutorial:

WHAT YOU NEED:

1.) Apply your base coat  (I used essence "Studio Nails better than gel nails" base sealer).
2.) Start out with black, or blue nail polish. Deep purple or other very dark colour will do as well, basically anything that represents the darkness of the space. (I opted for a very dark blue nail polish colour by my local drugstore brand "Quando è solo per te" in #21).
3.) You'll need some sort of a sponge. It can be just a regular sponge, a make up/foundation sponge that you're no longer using for this purpose, or a sponge-tip eyeshadow applicator.
(We all have tons of these from our make up palettes and we always complain how we never actually use them to apply our eyeshadows with- so now your sponge tip eyeshadow applicator has finally got a new purpose that it can actually serve! lol)
4.) You'll need at least two colours of nail polishes that will represent the star clusters.
(My choice was a metallic green nail polish by Debby Color Play #74 and a light blue/with a greyish undertone by Wet 'n Wild Wild Shine #464 "Rain Check/Ciel surprise).
5.) Lastly, you're going to need a glitter nail polish.
(I used the essence "Nail art twins" Glitter topper #01 Louise)
6.) A clear top coat is optional (I recommend the essence "Studio nails better than gel nails" top sealer.)

All the "tools" I needed to create this nail art.

WHAT TO DO:

- Apply your base coat and let it dry.
- Now start with the glowy background colour which is also going to be your darker colour and will represent the darkness of the Space.
Make sure it is dry enough before taking the next step!
- Then prepare the lighter polish as well, in my case, the Debby Color Play #74 ...
...take the sponge and pick up the darker colour, then start dabbing it on your nails.
Start from the centre and bring it to the top and the bottom of your nails.
- Take the lighter colour (Wet 'n Wild #464 "Rain Check"), it's going to work as a highlighter.
You don't want to take too much, because you don't want to overpower the darker colour in the background.
- Now you can apply your glitter nail polish.
This step is very important as it is going to pull the whole look together.
You can now also apply a clear top coat nail polish on top of everything, but that's up to you!

The result!
& that's it!
I hope you like it :)
