OOTD: White Shorts (MUST- HAVES!) & Pretty Wedges!

Hi girls!

I returned to my hometown Rijeka from the island of Rab, I have one more day to be with my family before I hit the road back to Italy & my work routine starts again!

This truly was a great vacation!

The hot weather has been following us all these days, so my outfits are still very much summer inspired!
I just couldn't go out wearing anything that isn't shorts, or mini-skirts, because of the heat I would die if I wore long pants or skinny jeans LOL ... seriously!

So here is my today's outfit:

I bought my white shorts a few summers back, while I was still living in Croatia and since then they have become one of the summer must-haves in my wardrobe!
They're so versatile and great for any occasion!

I'm wearing:

FITTED SHIRT: H&M
WHITE SHORTS: Amadeus Jeans
WEDGES: Flyfor
BELT: Orsay
BAG: Max& Co.

Here is my OOTD video (click HERE to watch!)

Have a nice day!

Ciao, ciao!

Summer Isn't Over Yet! MY SUMMER ESSENTIALS!

Hello girls!

Just during my vacations, I realized which are the things that I can definitely consider to be my summer essentials!
These are the products that I packed in my suitcase without thinking twice about it, and I was automatically reaching for them on a daily basis!

I've filmed short footages feat. my beauty & style essentials, every day from a different location of the island of Rab, where I was staying.
As a result, I have a nice & interesting video to show to you :)

It is already uploaded on my eipysgudps channel, but in case you haven't watched it yet, you can do that now, by hitting the play button on the video bellow:

These here are the products I highly recommend to anyone during the hot summer months!

  • A pair of sexy denim shorts is my must- have in terms of clothing, because it is so versatile and you can wear it for the beach, or going out at night (dressing it up, or dressing it down!)
BEAUTY MUST- HAVES:

1.) Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR (Multi- Purpose Care Multi Usage Dry Oil)
Golden Shimmer with 6 precious oils and vitamin E.
For face, body, hair.
I'm in love with this product! I use it all over my body and it leaves my skin soft, moisturized, deliciously fragrant and irridescent!
Perfect for the summer nights out!

2.) Bioderma Photoderm MAX spf 50+
Mineral Solar Compact Very High Protection
Intolerant Skin
When talking about summer, my priority isn't to tan! I'm a very fair skin and I need to be cautious when sunbathing! I avoid the hottest hours of the day and the midday sun.
At the beach,  I always make sure to wear a high spf on my face.
I'm 30, so I need a good quality product such as Bioderma because I want to avoid getting sunburns on my face & developing premature wrinkles & signs of ageing!

3.) Eau Thermale Avène
Thermal spring water
Soothing, anti- irritating, for sensitive skin.
I have been using this product on & off as a part of my skincare regimen, for years now!
I especially love it in summer because it instantly refreshes my face.
Often I'll use it instead of a toner.
In the periods when I feel I don't need a night cream, after finishing with cleansing my face, I'll just spray a bit of Avène Eau Thermale & go to bed!

4.) O.P.I Avojuice Skin Quenchers
Cran & Berry
Hand & Body lotion
This mini-size hand lotion is perfect for carrying around in my beauty case!
It is important to moisturize your hands daily; this product absorbs really fast into my skin, leaving it soft & smooth, plus it smells deliciously! YUM! ;)

5.) Kérastase Soleil Micro- Voile Protecteur
Fine, dry and light mist
leaves hair feeling natural
For colour- treated hair.
Leave- in
I like to consider this product a spf for my hair!
It protects my hair from harmful UV rays, wind and sea salt!

6.) Too Faced
Leopard Love
Complexion Perfection kit
This is a great kit because it contains bronzer, blush and a highlighter, all in one place!
The colours are simply GORGEOUS!
For the hot summer nights out, this is all the make up you'll ever need! ;)

I hope you enjoyed my beauty & style essentials and all the beautiful sights from my video!
I was thinking about all you guys while filming it, I wanted to capture & show you all the beauty of my island!
I hope I managed to do that!

Do let me know in the comments section, which products are your summer essentials & why?

Thanx for reading!
Ciao, ciao!

We Don't Want to Go Home!

Hello girls!

My vacations are coming to an end...
& it's time for us to catch a ferry that will take us back to the mainland and then hit the road towards my hometown, Rijeka!

We're waiting for a 21.30 p.m. ferry to take us from Misnjak (Rab) to Jablanac (on the mainland).

But we don't want to go home!

My hubby, while waiting for the ferry!
Look at his face expression- it describes better than words, how we're feeling!
Have a nice evening you guys :)

Ciao!

The Last Day of My Vacations: Making the Most Out of It!

Hello beauties!

I'm sad because the last day of my vacations is here...
I did have a wonderful time, so there is one good reason to be happy!

The past time we were here, we organized our trip in a different way, and I personally think this year we did better!
Now I'll explain all about it...
The past time, we arrived to Rab in the evening hours, because we slept long and then started our trip in the afternoon hours.
And as far as the return goes, we actually woke up earlier and headed home before noon!
So we arrived home and it was still day & sun shining!
This time, this is our plan:
We arrived to Rab much earlier, because we woke up early in the morning so we had all the afternoon ahead of us to enjoy the beach!
And the last day of our vacations we've decided to wake up earlier again, but instead of going straight to catch a ferry, we went straight to the beach! :)
Stayed there until 18.30 p.m. and then we were ready for going home.
After another beautiful & relaxing day at the beach!!!

I enjoy the summer so much because, as I like to say, I'm a child of this island!
My parents "created" me here, and even though I wasn't actually born on this island, I've spent the first years of my life here.
I remember us going to the beach EVERY DAY since early May till late September!
This is why I can't immagine summer without the beach & the sea, it's just in my blood, a part of my system :)

Here are a few pics from our last day at the beach of Rab!

What I wore for the beach (&later on, for the trip):

WINGS PRINT TOP WITH SEXY CUT ON THE BACK: Bershka
DENIM SHORTS: M.S. Stores (bought in Croatia, years ago!)
FLIP-FLOPS: Havaianas
BEACH BAG: H&M
STRAW HAT: Jennifer
SWIMSUIT: H&M (this year's collection)
ACCESSORIES: Coconut watch from Sardinia, bracelets from H&M

Summer Night Out: White Skinny Jeans by Mango & Everything Sparkly!

Hello girls!

My last night at this wonderful island!
Of course, we went out :)

The night was a bit breezy, plus I already had worn all my shorts & mini skirts that I had brought on my vacations with me, so now it seemed like a perfect occasion to wear a pair of my favourite white skinny jeans! ;)
I love these jeans by Mango (I bought them a few years ago in Rijeka, Croatia) and I have been wearing these every summer since I got them!
They became one of my summer wardrobe must-haves, just as it is a pair of denim shorts!
I also wear them in winter,  but the whole styling is a bit different then, of course! :)
Why I like these so much?
Well, they just fit my body perfectly, they're the perfect cut, size & length!
They give me a nice figure ;)

Here a few pics of the scenery & my outfit...

The moon is rising...it's going to be another lovely night out :)

Cropped denim jacket...just in case ;)

In the late night hours, when we returned to our room :)
MY OUTFIT:

Sparkly top: Tally Weijl
White skinny jeans: Mango
Silver flats: H&M (divided)
Denim jacket: H&M

 ACCESSORIES:

White watch: Fossil
Wrap bracelets: H&M
White bracelet with wooden beads: NEW! Just bought that night as a souvenier from Rab :)
Big sparkly bracelet: Bought in Italy
Connector ring:  Bijou Brigitte
Silver carved rose ring: wholesale-dress
Clutch: H&M

Nail polish: Smart Girl (a little gift from my Mum!)

We went to eat out, but we ended up being quite disappointed...
We were appealed by the place called "Kampanil", situated in the centre of the town Rab,  that had a sign "Restaurant- Konoba" ( "Konoba" means a traditional taverna featuring open-hearth fireplace; storage cellar etc. where you eat delicious meals in an almost domestic environment) so we were looking forward to a nice meal!
We ordered, and realized that the meals are extra small portions!
Like, really, but really small! (In terms that, I ordered a calamari and they gave me 3 (!!!THREE) calamari on a coffe-plate!) LOL
It was a tapas bar!!!
Just on their receipt they had it written!!!
I think this isn't fair, because outside they have a big sign saying they're a restaurant/konoba and then they serve you these extra small, ridiculous portions and once you ask for a receipt, you find out that you were actually in a tapas bar!
I think this is misleading people to believe they're going to eat in a restaurant, and at the end you'll get a whole lot of nothing and a big, fat receipt!

When I saw the portions, I said to my hubby: "After we've done with our three slices of calamari, let's go eat a real meal!"
We were intent on doing that, but unfortunately, it was already past midnight when we left the tapas bar, so everything else was closed :(
We ended up eating frozen yoghurt (it was yummy) and pancakes!

The next time, we'll definitely ask around first, to see where the good food is! :)

Oh well ...

We still have a whole day of sun ahead of us & then...catching the ferry because we're heading back home! ... :(
(I wish we could stay here)

Ciao!
xx Sonja

My Enchanted Island...

Hello beauties!

I hope you're all having a great weekend :)

I was thinking: Summer on the island, the sand, the sea...what more does one need?

I really love this swimsuit!
I like to accessorize it with a bold jewellery :)
(The white/greyish marks on the middle part are actually the marks of the dried sea salt!
Of course, I washed it at home & everything was OK! The colour didn't fade!)

I really, really want to live here!
I can just picture myself, blogging every day from this wonderful place :)
Maybe one day... ;)

As far as my outfit, I was wearing:
BATHING SUIT: H&M
NECKLACE: H&M
BRACELET: Inherited from my hubby's relative
DRESS: Bought in Italy last summer (unfortunately, the shop where I bought the dress no longer exists! Such a shame they had to close down the business, I really loved the stuff they were selling. The prices were very much affordable too! This dress was only 5€!)
STRAW HAT: Jennifer
SANDALS: Bought this year in Italy at "Imaty's Fashion Factory" store

Have a beautiful Sunday girls!

Ciao!
xx Sonja
