My Birthday Make Up (Tutorial)

My B-day is coming soon!
In a less than a week ... (!!!)
My birthday is June, 5th, and this year it is Sunday, so I'll be off work & ready to celebrate!
We might even celebrate a few days before the actual B-day, because this Thursday is a festivity in Italy, we're off work so we're planning to do a little barbecue with friends in the mountains, where my hubb'y family owns a house for vacations :)

Anyways, I was playing with make up a bit, creating looks for my B-day.
As it's really warm & sunny, I don't want to wear too much of a make up.
I went for a natural looking face, with a light texture foundation, shimmery subtle smoky eye & the trend that I'm absolutely loving this Spring/Summer: Bold color lipstick!

Here are the pics of the result:

OOTD: Ready for the Beach!

Hi girls!

Here are just a few pics of my outfit, taken this Sunday, just before we went to the beach!
In these pics you'll see me still sporting my "ombre" hair (ahem...my roots showing after 2 months of the last re-touching!), but yesterday I finally went to the hairdresser, so that's sorted out now :)
I'll show you the pics of my hair & another OOTD later on today, if I manage to write another post ;)

When we're going to the beach, we usually go by scooter, just because we want to avoid the big traffic jam!
If we go by car, we'll 100% sure get stuck in the traffic jam for more than 2 or 3 hours and instead of at the beach, spend our afternoon suffocating at the road!
Everybody goes at the beach on weekends, so scooter is a must!
So you'll understand that I can't actually wear mini-skirts, shorts or dresses ... :( and have to dress appropriately for the occasion and means of transportation! :)

Top: 4.95 €
Bottom: 4.95 €
I couldn't resist this colourful swimsuit, the neon yellow is
very trendy this season & I love the floral print!

This season, H&M is the right place for swimsuit shopping, they have got a huge selection of pretty swimsuits, very affordable price wise and you can buy tops and bottoms separately, which means that you can mix & match, the colours, the fantasies and the sizes too!
If you're bigger on the top and smaller at the bottom, or the other way around, you still won't have any problems in choosing the right bikini for you!

And here are some tips in choosing the right bikini, based on your body type:
(For the first part of my tips go HERE )

NO WAIST

- If you don't have many curves, create some by wearing one- piece suit with a high- on - the - thigh cut.
- Bikinis are good for you. Add some illusion at the hips with rings, ruffles & bows.
- Avoid solid- coloured or horizontal striped one- pieces.

WIDE SHOULDERS

- Wear bikini bottoms that have lots of color and print. The new, moderate cut bottom was made for you!
-Wear wide shoulder straps and square necklines.
- Avoid the "V" silhouette.

PLUS SIZE FIGURE

- Look for one- piece swimsuits with lace or mesh inserts.
- A strategically placed cut- out , or a deep "V" neckline.
- Lengthen your thigh with an adjustable ruching detail at the hip.
- Wear a sheer sarong.
- Dark, cool colors.
- Avoid too much fabric, stay away from white, as well as bright, neon fabrics.

TOO MUCH TUMMY?

- Try one of those fabulous tummy , control panel, swimsuits.
They work wonders!
- Two piece swimsuit: Tankinis.
- A one- piece with some draping around the waist or hips.
- Avoid itsy bitsy bikinis and solid- coloured, one- pieces.

Stay tuned for more advices in one of my upcoming blog posts/beauty "Summer Edition" videos...

Gypsy Chic For a Day & Share The Love

Hello!

I was working on my blog today!
I hope you like the "pages" element that I added to it.
I believe it makes it a bit more organized, and I'm pleased with the results :)
I have to thank my friend Roanna, from the LA VALIGIA DI ROANNA blog, who helped me out and explained to me how to add this pages to my blog!
I was so confused, lol, I added the "Home Page" and got stucked there, didn't know what the heck am I supposed to do to add other pages...
So thank you Roanna for clearing this thing up for me!
Please visit her blog & show some support by following her.
Her blog is genuine, real and very interesting.
She writes it in english and in italian language.

Moving on to the next subject, which is my Outfit of the day...
I'm off work this weekend and so far I'm truly enjoying this warm & sunny weather!
I wore my maxi dress from H&M for the first time this year!
Maxi dresses are very IN right now, but this is the first maxi dress that I own.
It's long, simple and black, and when my hubby saw me putting it on (without any accessories or anything, but  just the black dress) he asked me: "Oh, are we dressing up as a Nun today?"
LOL Gotta love his sense of humour!
Of course I had it mind to accessorize it BIG TIME!
I was going for a gypsy chic/ boho look...

here are the pics ;)

I'm loving my new, snake print sandals!

Fishtail always saves me on a bad hair day!
;)

BLACK MAXI DRESS: H&M
LOOSE WHITE T-SHIRT: H&M (L.O.G.G.)
WIDE BRAIDED BELT: H&M
SANDALS: LICEAN
BAG: SISLEY
ALL THE JEWELLERY (RING, NECKLACE, BRACELET) IS FROM H&M

I wore this outfit for a walk around the centre of the town & visiting some shops in the afternoon hours.

Have a great Saturday!
xx
